What is CRHP?

CRHP began as a renewal experience by men in Cleveland, OH in April, 1969, specifically for American parishes.  As the process continued, wives of men who had participated grew more interested and the first women's team began in September, 1970.  From this beginning, through parishioner and pastoral relocation, through word of mouth without official advertising, CRHP has officially grown into 26 states and Italy.  After attending a CRHP weekend at a nearby parish, Jim Burns and Janet Didier petitioned St. Jude Parish to have CRHP brought home to our parish.  Through the prayers of countless people and the time, talent and treasure of past participants, Christ continues to Renew His Parish here at St. Jude.

Parish Renewal is whatever furthers conversion and community, ministry and prayer, healing and holiness, spiritual growth and gospel service.

Men's Weekend

Saturday, 7:45 a.m. - Sunday, 3:45 p.m.

Expertise in group dynamics, knowledge of motivational techniques, experience in public speaking and training in psychology and theology are NOT requirements.   Prayerfulness, loving concern and simple service are.

A current list of participants signed up to attend the weekend will be available in the back of church until Sunday at 9:00 a.m.

This specific team commitment develops, not by self-serving attempts to change others into our image of what they should be, but by allowing ourselves to change so we can lovingly serve the needs of others.

The renewal team is comprised of ordinary lay people like you who have attended the previous weekend.

Participants and team members gather Saturday morning at 7:45 a.m.  The weekend continues through Sunday afternoon until usually 3:45 p.m.  Plenty of time is available for breaks, personal reflection, fellowship, and fun!

Where will I sleep?

Sleeping accommodations are in the classrooms of our parish school where the weekend is held.  Mats are provided and you are asked to bring your pillow, blankets, or a sleeping bag, as well as any personal items you may need such as toiletries.  All facilities are wheel-chair and handicap accessible.
