The Antioch Retreat, a part of Saint Jude Youth Ministry,
is a weekend retreat run by a team of high school age youth (sophomores and older) who
have been on a previous weekend, under the guidance of an adult team. It is for high
school age youth who are sophomores and older. The weekend runs from Saturday morning to
Sunday afternoon. Scheduled weekend:
Deepening personal faith and evangelization of one
another through the sharing of faith stories and prayer is the gift of a Christ Renews His
Parish weekend. Groups of people (men and women separately) spend a weekend in intense
sharing of experiences, personal and community prayer, an opportunity for reception of the
Sacrament of Reconciliation, and participation in Sunday Mass. Several weeks after the
experience each participant is asked to make a commitment to "be on team," which
means to prepare and host the next Christ Renews His Parish weekend. These retreats are
held each spring and fall.
Men: March 17-18, 2012
Women: March 3-4, 2012
The Bible states that to remain strong in the Lord, we
must fellowship with like believers. Our group brings together men for scripture reading,
fellowship, and prayer. We are also committed to daily prayer for our priests, parish and
each other. Please join us at anytime, as our meetings are open to all men. We gather
every other Monday from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the north reconciliation room of the church.
Reminders are in the bulletin.
- Contact: Jeff Collins at 484-2309.
On the first Saturday of each month, men of Saint Jude
parish gather to share prayer, scripture and good food. All men of the parish are invited
to gather after the 6:15 a.m. Mass in the Parish Hall to hear the pastor's prayer
intentions and share prayer.

Saint Jude Church enjoys a Chapel of Perpetual Exposition
of the Blessed Sacrament. Entrance to the Chapel is on the north side of the Parish Office
Building. The Perpetual Adoration Society has the responsibility of making sure that at
least two adorers are present at every hour of the day and night.
Join us as we pray for the needs of the parish and special intentions. Prayer
requests are forwarded to E-Line team members via email as visitors post them to this
page. Team members are encouraged (though not required) to respond to prayer
requests via email with an acknowledgment that they will be praying for the intention.
In addition to the Christ Renews His Parish weekends and
the Order of Christian Initiation of Adult retreats, Saint Jude parishioners have arranged
times for private retreats at Gethsemani and other locations.
The Retrouvaille program is designed to help,
heal and renew troubled marriages. The word means Rediscovery.
This program offers you the chance to rediscover yourself, your spouse, and a loving
relationship in your marriage.
If your marriage has become unloving and uncaring or has little meaningful communication, we
believe Retrouvaille can help. The next program will be held August 11-13.

All women of the parish are invited to join the Rosary
Society. Directed by a steering committee, the Rosary Society sponsors two potluck
meetings a year, one Day of Recollection, and a Christmas party for its members. Members
are invited to give time and talent by cleaning the church, saying the rosary for deceased
parish ladies at the funeral home, providing funeral meals for grieving families, hosting
parish receptions, and providing food and volunteers for parish events. The Rosary Society
supplies three scholarships to graduating Saint Jude Parish eighth graders who will attend
Bishop Dwenger High School the following year.

During the past seven years, many Saint Jude parishioners
have discovered the power of the Scriptures, prayed together, and found new support in
their spiritual journey through Shared Faith Communities. Groups of 8-10 people meet every
two weeks on various evenings in their homes to "break open" the words of the
Sunday readings and discern their meanings in daily living. Scriptural sources on the
Sunday readings are provided to guide and encourage the reflection and prayer of the
members. Shared Faith Communities are connected to
Saint Jude through the pastoral facilitators who "pastor" each group;
occasionally they meet with the Director of Spiritual Development and the Core Team, whose
responsibility is to begin new groups and keep the vision of how the groups enrich and
remain an integral part of parish worship.
21+ Group
The 21+ Group is dedicated to meeting the
social and spiritual needs, as well as offering community service and social opportunities
to the 21+ members of this faith community.
The Women's Bible Study provides a great opportunity to
strengthen your faith through scripture, prayer, and fellowship. Whether you feel you know
nothing about the Bible, or if you have been in a previous Bible study, everyone will find
something that will speak to them personally. The Bible Study meets on Mondays, in the
Parish Hall, during the school year from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Childcare is provided.

Office 484-6609.
Young Adult Ministry at Saint Jude strives to provide
monthly opportunities for service projects, social activities, and spiritual growth for
those post-high school to age 30. The "Over-30 Bunch" continues these
opportunities for older adults.
Saint Jude Youth ministry is built on the
National Conference of Catholic
Bishops' comprehensive model of youth ministry. The three goals of that model are 1)
to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today, 2) to
draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the
Catholic Faith community, and 3) to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each
young person. Youth Ministry at Saint Jude offers activities for both junior high (grades
6-8) and senior high (grades 9-12).
