| "So I exhort the presbyters [officially appointed leaders] among you,
as a fellow presbyter and witness to the sufferings of Christ and one who has a share in
the glory to be revealed. Tend the flock of God in your midst, overseeing not by
constraint but willingly, as God would have it, not for shameful profit but eagerly.
Do not lord it over those assigned to you, but be examples to the flock." 1 Peter 5:1-3 |
"Set them an example by doing
what is good..."
Titus 2:7 |
| "Hearken, you who are in power over the multitude and lord it over
throngs of peoples! Because authority was given you by the Lord and sovereignty by
the Most High, who shall probe your works and scrutinize your counsels!" Wisdom 6:2-3 |

The Parish Pastoral
Council consists of twelve elected parish members who serve for a two-year term in
addition to the School Principal, the Pastoral Associate, the Pastor and other members
that may be appointed by the Pastor. Elections are conducted each Spring when half of the
members are elected to serve a two-year term. This helps maintain experienced
council members to continue coverage of the Council's duties.
The Council meets on the first
Wednesday of the month and deals with pastoral issues in an advisory role to the pastor,
helping with important decisions facing the parish. Annual duties include review and
endorsement of capital projects proposed by the building and grounds committee. The
Council is included in the review of many issues of importance to the parish as they
arise.
If you have any questions about Parish Council, or have ideas, suggestions, or concerns
you feel we should discuss, please feel free to contact any council member or Bob Jesch at 482-4917. |
