HASA Time & Talent sign up sheet

Spirit Wear Order Form

HASA strives to enhance our children’s education through effective home and school communications, actively dedicated parents and the promotion of stewardship to benefit the parish family of St. Jude Catholic School.

SCHOOL RELATED MINISTRIES
(Open to all parishioners & school families)

Teacher Luncheon – Help serve and clean up or provide food on periodic basis.

Yearbook Volunteers
– Gather photos, label items, etc. to prepare yearbook for publication. Assist yearbook coordinator.

Lunchroom Volunteers
– Coordinate volunteers to assist the lunchroom supervisor during the lunch hour.

Family Hospitality
– Help plan and set up and/or provide refreshments for New Families Night, Meet the Teacher Night, Grandperson’s Day, Science Fair Judges Luncheon, and meals for school families in short-term crises.

Church Hospitality
– Help plan, set up, serve and clean up Reconciliation Reception, Confirmation Reception, Open House and Gathering Day (First Eucharist). Provide babysitting for First Eucharist Liturgy and Confirmation Liturgy.

HASA Danc
e – Set up, work snack bar (1-hour shifts), collect money and tickets at door (2-hour shifts) and tear down tables after dance. The dance occurs in late January or early February.

Sickroom Volunteers
– Volunteers console and take care of sick or injured children. Volunteers do not need to have medical experience – everyday childhood bumps and scrapes. Very flexible with one time volunteers and regular volunteers. Young children are welcome to accompany their parents.

Uniform Swap
– Help set up tables for sale, work as cashier and/or clean up.

Skating Parties
– Oversee sign-up sheets for skating parties on SIP days.

Picture Day
– Help organize children for their yearly school pictures.

Volunteer Appreciation
– Write thank you notes for school volunteers.

Market Day
– Set up and assist on food delivery day (3rd Tuesdays from 4:45-6:00PM). Additional opportunities to help place reminder phone calls to those ordering Market Day, reminder letters, administrative help.

Plant Show
– Help with the show and/or sorting seeds.

Teacher Appreciation
– Providing morale building snacks to teachers, help with set-up and clean-up of lounge for snacks, and wrapping teacher Thanksgiving baskets.

Christmas Village
– Christmas Village provides children an opportunity to shop for their families at school. The items are nominally priced to fit into a child’s budget. Help is needed to tally children’s purchases (2 hour shifts) and assist students with shopping (2 hour shifts).

Playground/Safety
– Help is needed to supervise students on playground during recess, assist with student drop off (7:30-8:00AM) and pick up (2:30-3:00PM). Young children are welcome to accompany their parents.

Student Hospitality
– Providing food, serving meals, and providing support for the following: Honors Banquet, Field Day, 8th Grade Graduation, and 8th Grade Baccalaureate Luncheon.

Silent Auction
– Help set up for auction, close bids and collect money and/or solicit businesses for auction items. The auction is in January or February on the same night as the HASA dance.

New Families
– Phone and welcome new families as well as answer any questions.

School Improvement Plan (SIP) Luncheons
– Help provide lunch for faculty on SIP days. These days occur periodically throughout the school year.

Family Dance
– Set up for dance, serve refreshments and/or help with cleanup. The dance occurs in early February.

School Office/Copy Help
– Assist teachers and school office staff in copying materials for classrooms.

Spirit Shop
– Sell items prior to school events.
Destination Imagination Coaches – Help small groups of students in Grades 1-8 develop problem-solving skills through meeting weekly beginning in the fall through spring.

Classroom Helper
– Assist teacher with copy, filing, etc.
Family Support – Help families in need by providing meals, drivers and babysitting.

Campbell Labels
– Collect labels, cut them or distribute them to volunteers to cut. Track and count the labels. Notify the school and parents of any “Bonus” label events.

Room Parent Coordinator
– Responsible for assigning room mothers for each classroom. Providing room moms with a folder of information pertaining to that particular class. Reminding the room parent of upcoming events that they are responsible for in their rooms.
