Music Ministries

Chancel Choir

A simple adult choir that offers a rich experience of sacred music, geared for adults that love to sing and are called by the Holy Spirit to serve God and their neighbor in this way. Meets regularly on Wednesday evenings in the church/choral practice room. Sings for select major feast days from September till Corpus Christi in June. Other fellowship events are held but optional.

St. Cecilia School Choir

A musical group for St. Jude school kids to grow their gift in music while singing for the school masses throughout the school year. Opportunities to cantor for Mass are available here as well. Weekly practice held after school on Wednesdays.

The Mustard Seed Program

Free ad hoc music tutoring to help those who are interested in improving their vocal or instrumental ability with the intention of joining/continuing in a choir or ensemble at St. Jude Catholic Church. A program that is used to continue to build each member in the music ministry to nurture their gift no matter how big or small. Counseling is held virtually or in the choral practice room in St. Jude’s Church.

The Mother Teresa Musicians

Instrumentalists who on an ad hoc basis play for special Masses and Parish Events. Instrumentalists receive notice for a particular instrumental need at a given event, and are encouraged to sign up to share their gift to the greater glory of God. All instrumentalists welcome. See Music Director for more details. (Examples of particular needs are Easter and Christmas Masses, Processions, Parish Picnic, etc.)

Youth Choir of St. Michael the Archangel

This Youth Choir (5th-12th grade) runs from September through Corpus Christi Sunday (mid-June) every year. This choir is built to be an experience of God’s parish family in a safe environment where God is worshiped, praised, adored and loved in a fun and wonderful setting. Weekly afternoon rehearsals help teach the youth how to sing, to pray the Mass, and experience God through sacred music. These are held on Tuesdays 4:30pm-5:30pm in church. The choir normally sings once a month.

Cantors of St. George

This group is composed of skilled vocalists who lead the congregation musically at Mass. Cantors leading the congregation in song and prayerful disposition. Open to anyone, but typically 15 years or older. Requires an audition with the Music Director.

Rex Regum Schola

This group focuses on chant and sacred polyphony to glorify God and edify the faithful in prayer. This group may sing for Mass, or other events (such as special adoration events, sacred concerts, etc. as director and members see fit or desire). Practice times are scheduled according to the need of the singers. Audition required with the Music Director.
