RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the standard process used throughout the world to initiate adults and children into the Roman Catholic Church. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about the Catholic Church, or if you would like to sponsor someone, please email Deacon Jim Tighe. A sponsor is a person who is a practicing Catholic who walks this journey with a Catechumen (a person not baptized)or Candidate (someone who is baptized). In the process the sponsor’s faith, too, is strengthened. The RCIA is a faith journey for those desiring to enter the Catholic Church and for those who wish to complete their initiation into the Church. The “Inquirers” include non-baptized persons, people baptized in another Christian tradition and those Catholics baptized but never catechized.

Rekindle The Fire
“Were not our hearts burning within us” Luke 24:32 These words were spoken by the disciples who’d walked with the risen Jesus on the road to Emmaus. They were changed through the time they’d spent together. Was your heart on fire your CRHP (link) weekend? Were you changed? What was your personal commitment to Christ that weekend? As you journeyed through RCIA (link) or Remembering (link)? What have you been doing to continue that commitment? Is it time to rekindle that fire in Christ? Women meet the third Monday each month at 7:00pm in the Parish Center.

Shared Faith Communities
Shared Faith Communities encourage members to a celebration of God’s gift of faith in their lives. As members read & pray the Sunday Scriptures, they are led to a deeper appreciation of the Word and the Sacramental life of the Church. They often are given a stronger prayer life, a sense of community and support to one another, and they become more involved in the ministry of the Church. SFCs strengthen their members to become more active parishioners with a sense of commitment to the community.
