Religious Education

Religious Education is going to meet WEEKLY for the 2025/2026 year. We will have family masses on the FIRST Tuesday of the month; occasionally we add additional masses with reminders of the change. Parents will meet in the church basement after the first Tuesday masses. Classes will meet the other Tuesdays at 6:30. All classes will be held at St. Jude school with dismissal being at 7:45.

Christ chose to be born and grow up in the bosom of the holy family of Joseph and Mary. The Church is nothing other than “the family of God.” From the beginning, the core of the Church was often constituted by those who had become believers “together with all [their] household” (cf. Acts 18:8) (CCC, 1655). St. Jude religious education wants to support families in actively building and living their faith.

Totus Tuus

The Totus Tuus summer catechetical program is a week long parish mission for youth from grade one through twelve. It is dedicated to sharing the gospel and promoting the catholic faith through evangelization, catechesis, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship.

Totus Tuus provides an environment in which the Eucharist is central to the day. Prayer provided the structure, but the Mass is truly the “source and summit” of the daily schedule.

Totus Tuus inspires young people to go to Jesus Christ through Mary by meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary.

Totus Tuus instructs young people in the tenets of the Catholic faith to cultivate a firm intellectual grounding and a solid personal relationship with Christ.

Totus Tuus encourages young people to begin discerning God’s call in their life to be married, a priest, a religious, or single.

Totus Tuus demonstrates that one can be a faithful, practicing Catholic and still have fun.
